KRÓLOWA PARAFII W NOWYM RAJU / The Queen of the Parish of New Paradise

W Ekwadorze mamy parafię kościelną (parroquia eclesiastica) i parafię cywilną (parroquia civil).

The election of Miss of Nuevo Paraiso (New Paradise)...
And it's not the Mother of God.
In Poland and also in most of other countries parishes are words only from church administration.
In Ecuador we have a ecclesial parish (parroquia eclesiastica) of Church and civil Parish (parroquia civil) of administration of State.
In our ecclesial parish - the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Guayzimi, which is very large, there are three civil parishes - Parroquia Guayzimi, Parroquia Zurmi and Parroquia Nuevo Paraiso.
And in this last one lately was the election of Miss - called here election of Queen (Reina). These elections are in every civil parish every year. And also often in any larger village which is not a separate administrative unit.
But since we have three ethnic groups of residents we have three queens in Nuevo Paraiso.

On the photo the first one from the left is the Queen of tribe Shuar (Shiram Nua)
In the middle is the Queen of Meztisos (in Spanish - Reina Hispan)
First from the right is Queen of the Saraguro tribe (in the quechua language that almost does not use here - Inti Ñusta).
I saw this election on facebook of a worker of city adminitration and as a curiosity I give you. I have not yet reached Guayzimi - I am writing to you from Bogota (Colombia) from where I have to fly to Quito.
When I return home I will describe the journey ... is interesting to coming back 6 days ...
