ŚWIĘTA Z POLSKIM SERCEM / Christmas with Polish heart

Proboszcza Tadeusza.
A do Shaime jeszcze musimy dojechać samochodem (2 godziny z bazy w Guayzimi).

Dotarliśmy do wioski.
Łódź zaczęła wirować wokół osi i pewnym momencie motor z łódki wpadł do wody.
Natomiast tych dwóch Indian z wioski do dziś szuka silnika w wodzie.

They had the crib but they hadn't Infant, so I painted for them... :-)

I received from my   parish in Golcowa $ 100 - I give thanks for the Rev. Father Tadeusz, for the memory bout the mission.
Father Seweryn had the idea to organize something for the 2 poorest villages - Chumpiz and Napinz. People there are almost cut off from the world - you have to go there from another village - Shaime - three hours through the jungle and still approx. an hour by boat. A Shaime we still have to reach by car (2 hours from base in Guayzimi).
Is not easy to carry things through the forest climbing the mountain and going down to the valley through the mud... but we took another two catechists, so they helped.
We bought three chickens, things needed for the chicken soup and for the juce to drink as well as bowls, cups and spoons. Then we bought toys - animals - and children's hair band for girls, balloons for boys, and for all cookies and candies. One of the villages has the ball for football and the other not, so also we bouth a ball ... Children here have almost nothing ... so that was a joy!
Residents had to bring yucca, platano and big pots and boiling water on the fire. Fr. Seweryn made chicken noodle soup and  we serve it with yucca and platanos. First, portions got children. Perhaps for the first time had the best bits - generally, children are given the last things.
After the meal it was a movie about Christmas and later Holy Misa.
At the end  - sweets - and souvenir photo - it's not very clear but can be seen on the sheet the inscription: "POLONIA, Golcowa - Thank you, Gracias."
There was a lot of fun ... but it's not everything that happened that day ...
After a big rain the current in the river was more dangerous than usual. During the way a village the boat was suspended on the rocks, tilted and fell out into water one of the catechists. The current was strong, so I was afraid that we will lose him. Thanks to  God the water in this place wasn't so deep. We got to the village.
On the way back the current was even stronger. Abolished us on the rocks at the shore, one of the Indians fell into the water palanka (thick stick) and could not in time to push us from the shore. Boat began to swirl around the axis and the motor of the boat fell into the water. Without the engine when the current is so strong is not possible to control the boat, so we had to get out and look for a way through the forest. Because instead of the 3 hours we had to walk now 5, the night found us in the forest. I have a cell phone flashlight and one of the catechists had a flashlight - so we walked. Fortunately here there is no dangerous wild animals ... only was praying praying not to meet the "culebra" (a kind of poisonous snakes - usually come out at night, I got on this blog picture with one such dead).
Two Indians from the village till today are looking for the engine in the water. It turned out that there was a very deep and can not find it. It was a boat of the Community, so now when someone wants to get out of the jungle and go to the Central village Shaime needs to walk many hours, so they are even more cut off from the world.
Someone said that the new motor for to the boat costs $ 1,000, so they probably will not buy it. And even if by some miracle they buy, the driver of the boat - Indian - he took over what had happened and said that he was afraid to take us again, because what if he kill us ...  But we all know that it's not his fault ... it's a force of nature. If God wants we will get back every time from the missionary expeditions ...
After these events I have 3 bruises and experience that God was watching over us.

Wigilia Bożego Narodzenia / Thw Supper on the Christmas Eve

Then came an unexpected guest on Christmas Eve Supper ... actually 4 people - American family - not Catholics. The lady who, 25 years ago worked in this town as a volunteer  nurse, now came to visit the place with her husband and children.

FILMY / The movies

Chinese proverb: One picture is worth a thousand words. That's why I try to show films in every community - for children, but also adults like watching. I'm taking it even when we walk through the jungle or sail boat. The screen 17 inches so you can see something. The computer is a gift from the Chinese friend Bernadette - thank you again!

SEKTY / The sects

Czy ktoś z Was czytających zechciałby odmówić różaniec - dać Maryi róże w intencji nawrócenia Santa Rosa?
Proszę Was o pomoc...

In our parish there is a lot of sects. The mix awful in the heads of people. They interpret Scripture in a very strange way. Some parts of Bible they accept, the others treat like they don't exist... Once I went to look for the children in one of the villages to show them the Christmas movie. I came to the house where the family was going to the service ... to the sect. They gathered about 15 people ... I tried to talk with them but they just laughed ... I was very sad to see what a mess they have in their heads. I went back to the catholic chapel and told people about it, asking for prayer for them ... I had tears in my eyes ... and after Holy Misa 2 children came to comfort me ... one brought for me candy and the other flower -for such a souls truly belongs the kingdom of heaven ...
One of the villages - Santa Rosa (St. Rose - the sacred name of Lima) - is completely dominated by the sect. They did not want there Misa.
Does anyone of you readers would be willing recite the Rosary - to give Our Lady Maria the roses for the conversion of Santa Rosa?
If anyone has the possibility to refuse this intention rosary for 9 days - please let me know at the email: agnieszka.amal@gmail.com
I ask you for help ...

PIĘKNO STWORZENIA / The beauty of Creation

I come from the village, from not very high mountains (Podkarpacie), but many yeras I was living and working in the city. Now I can again live in the middle of beautiful nature... and every day I thanks for it for God. Here I can see his hand...

Venomous snake - hoja podrida ("rotten leaf") well, that dead ... I would not want to meet a living ...
