SŁODKA PRACA / The sweet work

Kupujemy go dużo dla robotników, więc...

On land which belongs to the parish were some canes. We buy a lot of sugar for the workers, so ...
Fr.Tymon cut and cleaned the plants and the husband, brother and grandson of Mrs. Mary, who helped us in the kitchen, helped us to make "la panela" (not about the ones on the floor) means - sweet cube sugar (it is not yet the sugar, because it's more work). Oh, and it was also the horse :-).
We did it under the supervision of the owner of the equipment.
First the plants were squeezed for the juice in the machine (horse needed ... or two ... :-)), then boiled the juice - you have to have some wood. You have to stir the juice all the time (if not it will be born) and throw away all foam pollution. Then it gets out of this quickly sweet "honey" - baceuse can me hard very quickly - and pours into the special wood (before You have to wet by wather it). And finally in the house I put it all into the pot in a bowl of water - because here ants have a terrible appetite ...
It was very hard work but there is an effect...

MATKA BOŻA Z CISNE / Our LAdy from Cisne

trezba zejsć niżej do 5 agosto...

Today I was responsable for the sining during the Holy Misa at 7.00 a.m. at "finca" (the name of farm here)/ From this place started the pilgrimage with the statue of Our Lady of Cisne. We were walking to the small chapel in Guayzimi, where she has her place. At the end there was the Holy Misa in the playing field. It was quite a lot of people. And the weather was so beatiful  - unlikly here - and now I'm red :-).
Again "I left my breakfast in home"  - I have something with my stomach, but I prepared some mint for drinking - maybe it will pass at least.
From tomorrow I have "Mission Imposible" - who knows me understands - this is totaly increible challenge for me - I have to cook for workers who work under the construction of room for the catechesis. Strong food but also not so expensive....From procuts from Ecuador whoch are new for me (one day I will show you some vegetables from here). I ASK FOR YOUR PRAYER that I could do it with the recipes I have recived from Lady Maria!!!
And one more thing - there is something about me in website of the Apostolic Vicariate of Zamora where I work. You have to go down till 5 agosto

QUITO

A bywają i gorsze sytuacje.

I have some fears to visit Quito alone but later I though - Maybe it's just one posibility? So without guide - just asking people, not with taxi but with troley - I could see a lot.
Quito is a very beatiful city...There is a lot of tourists, but this is place difficult to life. I saw many children working - f.e. they are cleaning the shoes. But sometimes work in worse way.
In some churches I saw The images of John Paul II - the most beatiful is the estate at the front of cathedral - and above the window in the shape of heart :-).
There is also interesting museum about franciscans fathers.
Under the city I could see the monument of Angel -very nice (you can see on the first photo).

PRZEZ LAS...PRZEZ RZEKĘ / Through the forest...through the river

The Parish of The Sacred Heart of Jesus in Guayzimi includes a lot of villages of Indian located in the mountain. To get there is quite difficult. Lately we were visiting one of them – on Wednesday.  Mud was sometimes as deep that almost  we could lost wellington boot. We were climbing few hours through the forest (selva) - we were getting down -  and then through the river  - sometimes in the bout sometimes walking in the water (if the bout couldn’t go because wasn’t enough the water). Was walking with us also Fr. Lucas from my diocesy of Przemyśl.

And in that way we came for the Feast of the First Communion in the village.

NAJWIĘKSZY DAR MIŁOSIERDZIA / The greatest gift of mercy

Oto największy dar dar miłosierdzia - prowadzić ludzi do Chrystusa, pozwolić im poznać i zakosztować Jego miłości. Proszę was zatem, módlcie się, aby w Kościele w Polsce rodziły się coraz liczniejsze powołania misyjne. W duchu miłosierdzia nieustannie wspierajcie misjonarzy pomocą i modlitwą.”

I was looking for the deed which  - according John Paul - II is the greatest deed of mercy… And I found these words: „ The charitable work of Blesssed Jan Beyzym was an integral component of his fundamental mission: bringing the Gospel to those who do not know it. This is the greatest gift of mercy: bringing people to Christ and giving them the opportunity to know and savour his love. Therefore I ask you: pray for the birth of missionary vocations in the Church in Poland. Support missionaries unceasingly with your prayers.” (Homily - Błonie, Kraków, 18 August 2002)
And every day here conforms that this is true. When we create for people conditions for the beginning and make deeper the relations with God, we not just give the bottle of water, which is sufficient only for the moment, we show where is the lively fountain.
Franciscan Fathers, who work in this parish have started the construction of the place for the catechesis. They don’t have much money but they count for Divine Providence. If anybody want to support this deed – here is the information. It’s important every dollar because soon what they have for the paying for the workers will finish.
