NIE PIRAT/ It's not a pirate

...to tylko ja. Chciałam uzbierać trochę pomarańczy i coś z drzewa mi sie przykleiło do oka. Byłam w szpitalu, super obsługa, doktor bardzo miła, wyjęli "ciało obce", dali anytbiotyk i zakleili. A jutro rano do okulisty.

...it's just me. I wanted to harvest oranges and something fro the tree flow to my eye. I was in the hospital - the great service - the doctor was very nice, they take off from my eye "foreign body", gave the antibiotic, covered the eye. And tomorrow I'm going to see the ophthalmologist.

Obecności Pana Jezusa w Eucharystii - On zawsze, w każdym miejscu, ten sam.
(a znacie film "Biała Sukienka" z cyklu Swięta Polskie? Mnie się podoba :-) )

On Saturday, we had the diocesan celebrations in Villa Cura Brochero - alltogehter with the Bishop. After the Misa there was a procession to the four altars around the square ... but here it is different ... I missed the girls in white dresses starker the flowers, I missed the four Gospels about Eucarists (there were meditations about the teaching of the bishop) ... I missed the June heat (here is the autumn and it is very cold), I missed the joy that you see in this day and living faith of so many people ... What do I not miss? Presence of Lord Jesus in the Eucharist - He always, in every place, the same.

HOGAR

Obecnie tu mieszkam. Opisze go trochę by nie którzy nie pytali  - "dlaczego mieszkasz w hangarze?"
Siostry zaczęły to robić.
Czasem bywają i pchły...
W ciągu dnia przychodzą czasem ludzi dac jakieś ubrania dla potzeebujących i rózne osoby by je zabrać - sporo Boliwijczyków przychodzi.

Currently I live here. I'm going to describe it a little bit especially for those who asked me lately - "why do you live in the hangar?" Hogar in Spanish means "place, home". Hangar is for the aircraft, planes. (in polish word "plane" means "fly by himself, alone" so I play with words in the next sentence...). I fly around the world alone but still live in Hogar not in the hangar.
It is a place where can stay overnight people who have somebody from the family in the hospital and are from outside the city and do not have money for a hotel.
Sometimes, there are few people and sometimes there is no one.
Currently, there are many renovtions, construction work...yes, here you need to renovate a lot. The sisters began to do it. But sometimes it hurts me that they are trying to take care of this place, to invest money and some people the Church here are not interested in this work or even interfere. However, are also those who support this place small donations every month - for construcion works - fine, because it is important for them historically.
There is a lot of moisture (there is no roof sheets as in Poland, but is a flat space of bricks, so moisture often comes into walls). They are sometimes fleas here ...
There is a chapel, but there is no Mass often - sometimes one for a few months - the priests there is so little that is not easy to arrange it)
The dining room leads City goverment  - place for the meals for the poor, but to the bathroom come to parts of accommodation - in their part are under constructions for many months... hopefully soon will be finished.
During the day people come sometimes give some clothes for people in need who are coming later and search what they need -  a lot of Bolivians come.
Hogar has a large yard, I tried to clean up it during these months and plant some green plant ... but now ... well I can not, this cold paralyzes me. When the sun comes out, it is still bearable, but recently comes out every two weeks.
In the house of sisters were changings lately - this Sister who invited me here to work, left for another place, somewhat changed my situation. It is possible that I can find another place ... we'll see - I ask for your prayers in this matter, because it is not easy.

OGRÓDKI/ The gardens

I gathered a bunch of radishes, recently I had already some new potatoes (I didn't have much  because this year too quickly came cold weather), oranges, and tangerines will be soon. Hard to now work outside in the cold and the plants do not grow too much.
Near the chapel of Fatima, where the sisters live, almost finished garden. But once I met pests - here they walk down the street, even - of course I drove out it from my garden.

WIGILIA ZESŁANIA DUCHA ŚW./ The Vigil of the Pentecost

My friends - the group of young people - invited me to go with them to Soto on the Vigilof the Pentecosts. I am glad that I was! It was a very joyfull time for the youth. In Poland when there is a vigil - it's rather the prayer in the church. In Soto for young people was th time for a joyful dances integration, and also prayer. We were also divided into groups and have some scenes - during the one of them I spoke - when my friend said that I'm Polish, they began to listen :-). My group presented the problem of addiction and I add some thoughts on this issue. We got a lot of applause :-).
And along the way former sewing lesson (because the banner had to be attached to the pins). Oh it's so difficult to pass through the needle's eye in the bouncing bus - but we win! Johanka worked great!

EMPANADAS

A ja zrobiłam plakat ;-).

They look like our dumplings, but the paste is different - something like the French paste, fragile. The stuffing is different - sweet, salty, often with meat and eggs ...
The ladies of the chapel Fatima prepared some empanadas to sell to help in the work of renovation of the Hogar. And I made the poster.

NOWENNA / Novena

There is a custom that before the patronal feast of the chapel or the church there is nine days of prayers. In the morning is the "Rosario de la aurora" - "The Rosary of the dawn" (6.30). The procession of the streets of the "Bario" (district), sometimes accompanied by a police car - Police protects the road. Only a few people are coming - but tradition is tradition :-).
In the evening there is again a rosary and a later Misa. The topics for each day and the reading are prepared by the diocese - this year they were about the works of mercy. At the time of the novena and feast the church or chapel was the "Door of Mercy" with the possibility of gaining an indulgence.
I made such a door in the chapel of Our Lady of Fatima, where he had lived with the sisters.
My job during the novena was to play the guitar and sing songs and psalm (in Spanish :-) but Polish melodies was possible to match). The patronal feast procession and Misa was in the afternoon through the streets of the district police. In the villages on the patronal feast the "gauchos" wear their traditional clothes and are riding horses (I was on two such processions), so I was on the feast of Our Lady of Fatima dressed in a costume which I brought from Poland.
At the chapel of Our Lady of Fatima, in the parish in Schoenstatt helping a group of women - the council of chapel - how much work they put into the preparation of these days! I admire! But... they are older people - may find someone who will replace them ..
