NOWY MOTOR / The new engine

As you recall, during one of the expeditions the engine fell off the boat and fell into the deep water. We travel to the villages after three rivers - the Rio Negro, the Rio Blanco and after that to the village Chumpiz, and this is the most dangerous, with a strong current. Polish Franciscan fathers (Bernardine) from the Province of the Immaculate Conception Our Lady founded a new motor, my parish St. Barbara Golcowa - pastors and parishioners - also put their part. Motor cost over $ 900. Life here is very expensive, because of this there is so much poverty ...
The villagers were very grateful and promised to pray for donors. Fr.Tymon blessed the motor and after few hours walking on the grand through the forest we started our journey on the water by the boat.

A teraz własnie piszę ten blog w kancelarii parafialnej pracując nad listami dzieci z katechezy z naszych wspólnot...

Here there is no religion in the public schools - only in the catholic.
Catechesis take place in the parishes. It's leaded by catechists ... They are people who have a desire to teach others - in some communities hard to find someone who would want. There are a few people who live in concubinage and are catechists ... We're trying to change that ... we gave them a few months time to make a order in own moral life or we have to end the cooperation (what can means that village will stay without catechesis for a year or more). These are difficult issues ...
They do not have a pedagogical and theological preparation. Sometimes it does not even have a Bible. Parish Father was able to prepare a project last year and we got some money, so we bought Bibles for every catechist who does not have and Catechism of the Catholic Church for every community (35).

In most communities, we are once a month, so we have prepared a booklet for Sunday Celebrations of the Word of God, leading by catechists. In some communities do, in others, they do not want.
Do you think that in Ecuador, people are really looking for God? Few ... we are trying to awake in them the desire of Him and the knowledge that we receive from Him everything ... and to Him we return once and for all ...
But believe me ... it's hard sometimes ...

Once a year, it is organized the Day of Catechist. This year our parish had commissioned it. There were nearly 500 people. It was necessary to organize the food (with the help of parents of children with catechesis), and there was some things to do, well, it's good that Parih Father is more calm than me because when I'm doing something on the last piece of my strength I'm very nervous that  - "can we manadge?".Even more I was worried becasue although many of my requests only a few priests have reported the number of participants from their parishes. Came so many people that we could have the run out of food... but because didn't come 3 parishes, it was suficiente for all... With the help of many good people - and God's providence - we succeeded.
And now I'm writing this blog in the parish office working on lists of children with catechesis of our communities ... a lot of work.
For the development of faith, when there are not enough priests, formation of catechists is in my opinion is the most important ... Pray for this intention ...

DZIECI / Dzieci

The children in the whole world are similar. They like to play, to paint, to sing… The most popular group for children in South America is Infancia Misionera (Missionary Childhood). In some comunities of our parish we have meeting every month, only in the Center (Guayzimi) every week. Usually is like that that where is not prosperity there children are more interested in meetings… if they have more things they are not much interested in God. This same what with their parents.
Lately in one of the place – Pachicutza – came 30 children… I was so impresed that I didn’t took any photo J. We painted and also made „dinamic” (singing with some gesture) „The train of love”. Words are like that: Get in a car of smile – get on the motorcycle the union – get in the boat of fantasy – get on a train.
