Rozpoczęliśmy dzień Drogą Krzyżową - Misjonarz Gabriel poprosił wcześniej by każdy przygotował swój krzyż i żeby iść w milczeniu, bez śpiewu, czytając tylko przy stacjach rozważanie. Kolejne stacje przygotowali mieszkańcy. 14 stację Drogi Krzyżowej zakończyliśmy na cmentarzu.
We began the day with the Way of the Cross - Missionary Gabriel asked beforehand to prepare for every person his own crosses and to go in silence, without singing, reading only at the Stations. The every stations was prepared by the inhabitants. We finished with the 14th Stations of the Cross on the cemetery.
Good Friday in Ecuador is a day off work - in Poland we still have to work in that day. But Monday after Easter is free in Poland but here is not.
Później przyjechali z misjonarza Gabriela z sąsiedniej wioski (z Selva Alegre, co znaczy "Radosny Las" :-) ) by tam też poprowadził Drogę Krzyżową o 12.30 a ja zostałam przygotować Grób Pański w pokoiku, który służy za zakrystię. Panowie z wioski przywieźli mi gałęzie z czerwonymi kwiatami o które poprosiłam - "platanillo" - i też jedną palmę. Zrobiliśmy jak w Ewangelii - Grób Pana Jezusa w ogrodzie.
O 15.00 mieliśmy celebracje Męki i śmierci Pana Jezusa, adorację krzyża, Liturgię Słowa, Komunię św. i przeniesienie Pana Jezusa do Grobu. Następnie rozpoczęliśmy pierwszy dzień nowenny do Miłosierdzia Bożego.
Later they came from the neighboring village Selva Alegre (Joyful Forest) to take the missionary Gabriel to lead the Way of the Cross at 12.30 and I stay because it was necessary to prepare "the Tomb of the Lord" in the room that serves as the sacristy. The people from the village brought me the branches with the red flowers I asked - "platanillo" - and also one palm tree. We did as it is in the Gospel - the Tomb of Jesus in the garden.
At 3.00 pm we had Celebrations of Passion and Death of Jesus, adoration of the Cross, Liturgy of the Word, Holy Communion and the transfer of Jesus to the Tomb. Then we began the first day of the novena to Divine Mercy.
O 17.00 było popularne tu nabożeństwo "Ostatnie siedem słów Jezusa". Misjonarz Gabriel poprosił by zrobili inscenizację - bardzo szybko wymyślili sobie stroje. Na stojąco wysłuchiwaliśmy zdania Jezusa (osoby, która grała Pana Jezusa) a później na siedząco były rozważania - jak w Drodze Krzyżowej na przemian czytaliśmy ja i misjonarz Gabriel.
At 5 pm, was the devotion "The Last Seven Words of Jesus" which is popular here. Missionary Gabriel asked them to do the staging - they quickly came up with own made costumes. We listened steadily to Jesus' statements (the person who played Jesus) and then sat there were meditating - as in the Way of the Cross alternately we read Gabriel and myself.
O 19.00 wyświetlaliśmy film "Pasja" Mela Gibsona. Każde miejsce w kościele było zajęte - nigdy wcześniej i później nie było tyle ludzi.
A później adoracja, ale niestety tym razem byłam sama z Panem Jezusem - ludzie nie przyszli. Ale trochę to rozumiem...Nie ma może jeszcze takiego zwyczaju jak w Polsce, że całe rodziny przychodzą "odwiedzić Pana Jezusa". I tak te wszystkie rzeczy były dla nich nowe i było tego dużo, bo wcześniej nie mieli celebracji.
At 19.00 we showed the movie "Passion of Crist" by Mel Gibson. Every place in the church was occupied - never before and after were so many people.
And then adoration, but unfortunately this time I was alone with Jesus - people did not come. But I understand a little...There is no such a custom as in Poland that all families come "to visit the Lord Jesus". And there was many things, and almost all new for them and it was a lot because never before there were celebrations there.
